“I love you.” she murmured, eyes filled with love and adoration for all of the beautiful lines and edges of his body and his soul. Nothing had ever felt so genuine before.
“I never want to leave you again, Eugene.”
“–I love you, just as much, if not more than the amount of water in the ocean.”
A small kiss was placed on the tip of her nose, both arms now wrapped around her waist.
Anna danced with him, careful and basic steps, but they meant the world to her. Her eyes never once left his.
After some quiet, she finally had the mind to speak. “You’re a wonderful dancer.” she spoke honestly. “You could be a prince, you know.” and suddenly her chest clenched at the thought.
Eugene. Her Prince. A Prince in Arendelle. A husband. She shook the thought away, and tried to refocus.
a p r i n c e.
honestly, the title didn’t mean much to him anymore. nor did owning a castle or having more than enough money to the point where he didn’t know what to do with it all.
she mattered. and she was helping him learn that he–
poor old orphan e u g e n e mattered.
whether he was a prince or a beggar, if she was in his life, then that’s all that was needed.
a smile was given ; just at the thought of whatever was going on inside her head to bring that topic up.
Looking down at his hand with glee, Anna took it, and locked eyes with him as they fell into place. ”I wouldn’t dream of it.”
She could hardly believe this was real. It was a dream come true, to be free, and to be with him, just enjoying the open sky and sea. Enjoying him most of all; a Prince in disguise.
if it wasn’t obvious, he’s never been more h a p p y in his entire life. she was the key to his happiness ; there was only truth in that statement.
one hand on her waist, the other clasped her hand gently. though he’d never really danced much before, he had the basic idea.
“So you’ve said, many times. But you wouldn’t, not even for me?” She put on a convincing little pout, but it dissolved too fast to sink in. She couldn’t help smiling when she was near him. It was impossible.
”I bet Flynn Rider does. Maybe you should ask him for some advice. I heard he’s really good with the ladies.”
“Maybe for you.”
He then stood up from the ground and his hand was offered to the girl. A soft expression was all that could be seen because he was focused on the love of his life ; his entire world.
“Oh, no! No, Eugene, I- I’m sorry, I didn’t mean it like that.” She frowned deeply, looking up and over at him, and then slowly reaching out to loop her arm with his, and hold to him. She thought maybe he needed a physical reminder of what her loyalty looked like.
”I meant that- maybe we should dance more.”
He turned to look at her when she gazed at him, a small smile inching it’s way onto his face. Dancing, hmm.
“ – but I don’t dance. Or sing. Or do any of that kind of stuff.”
“I love being out here at sea with you, I really do- so much better than being in a castle all alone- but a part of me kind of misses all the fancy balls, and the dancing- I think that was my favorite. The pretty dances were so fun to do.” She looked up at the starry sky above, and frowned just a little.
“–I’m not forcing you to stay, Anna. I hope that’s c l e a r.”
And if he was to be truthful, her words stung a lot more than they should have ; it wasn’t his fault that he couldn’t give her all that she deserved.
Or maybe it was, by keeping her out here instead of where she belonged.
Anna gave a little laugh and rolled her eyes as the way he displayed his new clothing. She wanted to tell him he looked as handsome as ever, but she also knew his ego wouldn’t need the inflation, and so she kept her commentary to herself. She did, however, let him know that she was pleased with his hug by giving a little sigh into his shoulder.
“I love you, too. Soon.” she pulled away to reach up and tickle the patch of hair on his chin with a smirk. “Okay, run along, before I get carried away.” And she would, with an empty room and nobody to bother them. If he didn’t leave, she’d make him stay.
{ —- and cue the time skip ; it is now close to evening in the kingdom of arendelle and all it’s citizens are getting ready for bed. we flash to flynn whom had spent most of the day trying not to get c a u g h t as he awaited for his princess to find him }
An approaching guard caught Flynn off-guard, and behind a nearby tree he went to avoid getting caught once again. Though he made it out last time, they would not be as careless the second and he had doubts that even a princess would be able to stop what was the inevitable.
Don’t get caught, don’t raise suspicions ; play it safe, for Anna.
He wasn’t far off from the kingdom. It was the meeting spot the two agreed upon before leaving one another, and if he were to say he was anxious to see her once again – that would be an understatement.
It had only been a few hours, but God, he m i s s e d her.
Anna pulled back slowly and held his hands between them both, squeezing gently. She didn’t want to part, but she knew that they had to. She had to pretend to be a good Princess who did nothing for the rest of the morning and most of the afternoon- and then she’d slip away. Say she ‘was feeling ill’. She’d find some escape plan come to mind, she was sure of it.
“That’s settled, then. The road just outside Arendelle. At sunset.” she leaned up and pressed a kiss to his cheek, loving and chaste. “I’ll be counting the minutes. Now, let’s get you out of here safe, hm?” She let go of his hands and began to make her way for the bedroom door.
When she was sure the coast was clear, she sneaked about until she could lead Flynn into a bedroom. Shutting the door behind her, she fled to a wardrobe, and upon opening it, revealed Arendelle servant clothing. “Change into these, keep your clothes in your satchel, and you shouldn’t have a problem leaving. We have too many staff these days, nobody remembers each other.”
“Soooo, how do I look?" The question was asked once he had changed into the suggested clothes and he gave her a little spin to showcase all of the outfit. "Not gonna lie, I think I look pretty good, especially considering I avoided the death penalty.”
The princess was pulled in for a warm embrace ; it was clear that he didn’t want to leave her all alone, but it was a must to keep himself from getting caught. Running was tiresome, however, he had gotten used to it as that was the life he lived. With his face plastered all over Corona and it’s neighboring Kingdoms, it was to be e x p e c t e d. And with all the attention he garnered– he wasn’t complaining.
“I love you. And we’ll see each other soon. I promise.”
