petals of her lips part, only for melodic chuckles to escape. delight filled the atmosphere, and it was an apparent day in which rapunzel falls in love with eugene fitzherbert all over again. more and more, every single day ——-
——— for the rest of their lives together.
❝ you wouldn’t believe me if i said i’m still nervous. ❞
ah..
that laugh, her laugh,
it drove him insane, all in the right ways. it was addictive, something he craved to hear almost more than he needed air to breathe.
nerves, if they were there, he hadn’t noticed for he was far too captivated by the woman in front.
“–you’re cute when you’re nervous, but you are talking to the F l y nn R i d er, so I don’t blame you.”
“ǀ нανє αƖѕσ вєєη ωαяηєɗ of that excessive ego of yours——but yes, she does seem very fond of you——”
{It would be a lie to say that Elsa had not heard plenty about the newly crowned Prince of Corona, but she had to admit she was worried for there will always be whispers but meeting him now, Elsa laid her worries to rest——
Rapunzel had better judgement than that; she had a talent for seeing passed the skin-deep scars, the lies that people told themselves to keep from hurting; she saw through all those mirrors and smoke screens and perhaps that’s why Elsa admired her so much——}
“I wouldn’t call it excessive, I prefer the term honesty. Modesty works too.”
He had heard his fair share regarding both the Queen and Princess of Arendelle, though he didn’t bother to think too much about them when the names were first brought up. Attending a ball wasn’t exactly what he’d call fun, but it was Rapunzel’s family, therefore they were now his family too.
Even though he didn’t dance, he could still attend the ball and get to know the other side of the coin– the same side that he’d been trying to flip to his entire life.
–and now that he was here, well, it was refreshing.
But he was still trying to decide if this was where he belonged. He couldn’t help but feel a bit misplaced amongst all the royal families.
“Well of course I do, Eugene!” Rapunzel beamed, taking his hand and pulling him onto the dance floor. “I thought you didn’t dance?”
“I don’t,” he replied, his hand finding it’s way to her waist and the other clasping hers. “But I’ll make an exception for you.” He gave her a smile, finding himself trying a bunch of new things since he had met her.
Anonymous whispered: Papa, I met a little boy in the village today that didn't have a mama and papa. He said that he lives in a mean place full of other kids, and thers not enough food. I don't understand?
The sudden announcement of the orphaned boy came as a surprise to Eugene,
though he did not show distaste, or discomfort with the subject— instead, he was rather interested of this boy and vowed that he would help better orphanages like the one he grew up in.
“—some people don’t have the ability or the means to live in a place such as this.
—your father.. he.. well, I was just like that little boy; I didn’t have a mother or a father, and I found a home in my thirst for adventure.”
“And what I want to say is, don’t make fun of someone like those other kids, and especially don’t make fun of them for not having a father or a mother. It’s not something that the child can control, and it’s not nice to tease those in a lower standing than you.”
